Mashed Potatoes with Quick Gravy


It’s hard to find Yukon or Russet potatoes in the grocery so I had to improvise.  Any large potato will do.  You will just have to use the right amount of milk and butter to get the perfect fluff of the mashed potatoes.

Mashed Potatoes with Gravy



6 large potatoes, peeled & quartered

1/2 cup warm milk

1 stick of butter, softened

3/4 teaspoon salt

a dash of pepper

1 tsp parsley flakes

1 pouch of McCormick Chicken Gravy mix



Place potatoes in a saucepan with about 4 cups of water.  Cover and bring to a boil for about 25 minutes or until very tender.  Drain well.  Immediately add milk, butter, salt and pepper and mash until light and fluffy.  Add parsley flakes.

For the gravy, just add 1/2 cup hot water to the gravy mix and stir.
